i'm enjoying my last day in la today--woke up early, headed to a cafe for breakfast and some reading, and now i'm off to the pool for some lounging time. life is pretty damn good. but in the meantime, i wanted to share a quick post with you with some of my recent weekend snapshots. fish tacos, scenes from venice and a lovely brunch at gjelina. hope you enjoy them!

dynamic duo: polaroid heart

i would love to have one of these hanging over my bed. i have always had a soft spot for polaroids, and in the shape of a heart, these collages look even better.  what a clever solution for a headboard too. i may have to attempt this in my new room soon, once everything really gets settled. for now, some inspiration...

california in polaroids

not sure if you know, but i'm a little obsessed with polaroids. i have the fuji instax (amazing) and if i ever get an iphone, shake it! will be the first app i download. a couple of years ago, i found out about poladroid. it is one of the best free downloads i've ever tried. if you haven't tried it, do it now. anyway, i know i promised some pictures of my recent trip to california, so i figured i'd do them in polaroid form, since they're my favorite anyway. highlights of my trip to oceanside and la below. enjoy!

neil krug polaroids

i came across these neil krug polaroids from another blog (argh, forgot which one), but i kind of love them. they're edgy and full of color and make me think of mid-summer, when everything's hot and nice and there are no worries. take a look for yourself, neil is really talented, has a unique style and has shot some pretty awesome stuff.

the polaroid project

i came across this project from another blog (unfortunately, i can't recall which one right now) but it is so cool to me. granted, i love polaroids, so i may be semi-biased, but it's just a cool grouping of random people stating what they want to do before they die. accompanied by a sweet polaroid picture of course. check it out here, and see some of my favorites (from nyc and chicago) below.

you should all check it out, it's fun to read when you're bored/in class/have nothing to do. thanks to whoever introduced me to it!
