i've seen lila's work before, but finally landed on her full portfolio yesterday and became even more smitten. her calligraphy work is gorgeous and i love what the words she chooses to illustrate.

dynamic duo: polaroid heart

i would love to have one of these hanging over my bed. i have always had a soft spot for polaroids, and in the shape of a heart, these collages look even better.  what a clever solution for a headboard too. i may have to attempt this in my new room soon, once everything really gets settled. for now, some inspiration...

late afternoon looks

have you guys seen and/or read liz's blog, late afternoon? she's been making her rounds in the blogosphere lately, but i can't get enough of her style and look. i love how she pairs prints and wears flowy maxi skirts effortlessly, and the fact that she recycles her clothes--i've seen her wear the same shoes/bag/accessories in more than one outfit post, but it's been put together in a totally new way! not to mention, the photography is fab. and i'm loving her tattoos, sparkly gold shorts, use of bright yellow and that leopard sun hat is to die for. i'm getting tons of style inspiration from liz, check out some of her outfits below and let me know what you think.

dream office

i've been working from home for the past day or so, and i have to say that it is kind of awesome. i like going to the office too, of course, but i've found that working from home can also be comfortable and productive. but my home office set-up, not so much. granted, i am living in nyc and space doesn't exactly come cheap here, so my hopes of a home office, for work or for blogging, are not coming true any time soon, but i can at least think about it, no?

i definitely want a clean space with natural light, and without clutter (much harder to actually do than just say, as i'm currently sitting at the dining table in my apartment surrounded by a stack of 30+ magazines, yeah, yeah, i'm just a little behind on my reading). dashes of color and some textural elements would be nice too. i'm kind of loving the three examples below and will definitely look to them for inspiration when the time comes to set up my little workspace at home. which won't be for awhile. but it's ok, i say, let the inspiration flow in the meantime.

just little things

i love this tumblr blog called just little things. it makes you stop and appreciate, well, the little things in life that can often be overlooked, forgotten or taken for granted. moments, occurrences, actions that really make you happy when you stop and think about them. i think it's a positive site with a great message that reminds you of all the good in life and the world. check it out, it's inspiring on a gloomy day like today. some of my favorite "little things" below.

music festival fashion

i love it. easy, relaxed and effortless, music festival fashion is always one of my favorites to stalk. there's fringe, neon, roughed up boots and sneakers, hats, sunglasses, sundresses, body paint, tattoos, and some skimpy outfits (gotta stay cool in that hot summer sun), so really, what's not to like? with coachella last weekend, a recent trip to ultra in my rearview and more summer festivals on the way, i figured i'd share some of my favorite looks for a little dose of inspiration.

it's all a part of rue issue 4, which i just love! i think it's one of the best yet. there were so many inspiring spreads, from a sneak peek of the kate spade bedding collection to a blissful desert fashion shoot, a spring and sea themed party and the most inspiring office space i've ever seen. i loved flipping every page (and was even greeted by a pleasant surprise on page 18) and wanted to share a few favorites below. but hopefully, you'll head over there and see for yourself. happy reading!

light-filled ranch wedding

spotted this beautiful wedding on green wedding shoes today and couldn't stop looking. added most of the images to my pinboards on pinterest, and still feel the need to share. the light-filled wedding takes place on a ranch, features a beautiful newlywed couple and a pretty horse, pastel shades and sweet snacks, lots of succulents and rustic backdrops. i think it's perfection. happy weekend everyone!
