It's the beginning of the month, and that means I'm ready to share my wishlist for April with you. Spring is on the way (I can feel it!), and that means I'm all into pastels and light colors - pale green, peach, gold and tan. I'm absolutely in love with the bowling bag below, and that stunning feather print one-piece. Which pick is your favorite?

Dynamic Duo: Mixed Chairs

I've always loved the idea of mixing and matching, and when applied to chairs in a dining room, I still believe in it. Mixed chairs for a dining table can lend a fun, more casual feel, perfect for impromptu dinner parties and everyday living. I featured two rooms I love that illustrate this trend in today's Dynamic Duo post, one in more neutral hues and one with a bit more color. Just don't blame me when everyone is fighting over the most comfortable seat.

Dynamic Duo: Touches of Leather

Happy Monday, readers! Over the weekend, I enjoyed a lot of downtime, along with a few delicious meals. I saw Kelly off for a new adventure in Chicago, and we enjoyed brunch at Locanda Verde (what a gorgeous space!). Also, I finished Homeland (finally, glad I checked that off my list), and cooked up a mean veggie mac and cheese for dinner Saturday night. Hope you also had a nice weekend!

Now, onto today's post: I love a touch of black leather, worked into a great jacket, a perfect home accent, or a statement accessory. "Trend" or not, I'll be holding on to this trick for years to come. I think the living room and look below illustrate the point pretty perfectly, wouldn't you agree? How about you, are you a fan of leather accents?

All I Want To Do Today

..is sit in front of a fireplace, curled up with my computer or a book, eat leftovers, nap, and relax. No Black Friday sales for me. I'm taking a note from Everlane's book and holding on all of the consumption and consumerism. (Wait, is this me sort of growing up?...Possibly.) Anyway, I hope you all had filling Thanksgiving celebrations with friends and family. Hope you were able to relax, take a moment to rest and were able to enjoy being surrounded by the things that really matter. I know I did, and it was all followed by a great night's sleep. Wishlist Wednesday

Speaking of homewares, have you heard that Zara launched their home line in the U.S.? FINALLY. There's so much to choose from, and I always love having another source for home goods and inspiration. Dynamic Duo: Yellow Pop

Today's Dynamic Duo post proves that a fun pop of yellow makes a statement almost anywhere. I came across a bright look and a gorgeous fireplace, both enhanced by the sunny shade. I love how both are also anchored by neutrals (camel, cream, denim) for a polished finish.

Wishlist Wednesday

Back with a new Wishlist Wednesday post for you all today! Featuring some lighter shades and cool furniture, I hope you'll enjoy it. That chair is really perfect (would love that in my living room...if only I had one month's rent lying around to spend), and I'm a fan of the chunky gold bracelet. I've actually made a little pact that I won't be buying any clothing, makeup or accessories this month or next. It's been going OK so far, and I'll keep you posted on my progress. A girl's got to save too, and that's the plan while I hold back on some purchases. But it's always fun to look, so enjoy the round-up below!

Dynamic Duo: Exposed

I've been dreaming up what my new living room could look like, and my Interiors board on Pinterest has been a main source of inspiration. I've been looking at various layouts and have been eyeing a few new coffee table options too. I also love the idea of putting a console behind a couch so I'm keeping my eye out for a new one as well. Btw, I really love this one.

Interior decorating can be fun, but also stressful. When you have a nice foundation, it becomes that much easier though. Case in point: exposed wood beams. I dream of one day having these in a room in my house. They add such a natural, but grounded look to a room and I love how the beams contrast with the white space. Dedicating today's Dynamic Duo post to this look and some gorgeous living spaces.

Dynamic Duo: Entertain

I love the idea of having a pretty outdoor patio to entertain on. Dinner parties, late night chats surrounding a fire pit, one day I'll have it. But for now, dreaming of pretty backyard spaces will do, and the two below are some of my favorites. Floor cusions and lanterns, or the perfect table setting around a tree. I'll take either.
