wishlist wednesday

another edition of wishlist wednesday for you. right now, i'm all about stocking up on cozy items to prepare for the colder weather. that includes warm throws, comfy boots and even a nifty star projector for date nights in. i'm trying to welcome the chill in the air with a smile (and some shopping).

i wanted to introduce a new regular series i'll be having over here on sunshine girl, called "wishlist wednesday," happening on..you guessed it..wednesdays. just a round-up of all the stuff i've been seeing and coveting. also, a good way to practice and use moodboards. this first series was partly made during blogshop, but there will be many more to come. i hope you like it, and would love to hear your thoughts!

dynamic duo: polaroid heart

i would love to have one of these hanging over my bed. i have always had a soft spot for polaroids, and in the shape of a heart, these collages look even better.  what a clever solution for a headboard too. i may have to attempt this in my new room soon, once everything really gets settled. for now, some inspiration...

burn baby burn

it is sweltering outside here in nyc. all i'm thinking about is air conditioning, iced coffees and cold showers every time i step out. the heat wave is slowing everyone down, including me. luckily, it's friday, so there's a weekend ahead to relax. i'm very much looking forward to it. i'm finally getting over my jetlag and excited to just lay low and have some good eats, catch up on some tv shows and maybe even head to the beach. hope you have a great one!

pinspiration

do you guys know about pinterest? it's an amazing image bookmarking website that i started using awhile back and it's definitely one of my favorite places on the web. email me for an invite if you'd like to join and check out my page here if you'd like. anyway, the site is great for finding new images and photos and the site itself is sleek and well designed (plus, i just discovered their amazing iphone app). i thought i'd start a weekly-ish series here featuring some of my favorite latest finds via pinterest, to share with you. these all evoke summer and sunshine and beauty to me, warm weather eye candy, to say the least. hope everyone is enjoying their july 4th weekend!

ocean-inspired

today really feels like summer here in nyc, and i love it. it's got me in a great mood, feeling active and happy. now i'm dreaming about the ocean and the beach, i can't wait to lay in the sun this summer and play in the surf. i've always loved blues and nudes together--the colors of the sand and ocean--and thought i'd share a collage with you of some covetable ocean-inspired pieces. i might need to have that scarf in my possession tonight, i'm in love. and that funky beach-print bangle, with a cheeky "wish you were here" inscribed on the inside. so clever. do you have a favorite ocean-inspired piece that reminds you of summer?

madewell wish list

i need to buy something from madewell asap...i'm loving all of their stuff! great basics, fun patterns and accessories, and that suede bomber jacket in the middle..i need it! i can't wait to get my hands on some of their stuff, but in the meantime, i'm content making a giant wish list on polyvore for myself.
