i'm super excited to introduce you to a new layout for "q+a with.." today, and who better to kick off the new layout than my favorite photographer? i've been so lucky to feature a slew of amazing ladies from blogshop in the past few months, and now i'll be reaching out to some of my favorite bloggers around the web to introduce you to them and their blogs. i'm starting it off with alice from lingered upon and alice gao photography. alice and i go way back (elementary school back), and who knew that our adult life interests would stay so similar? blogging, food, etc. she's a good friend and an incredible photographer, so be sure to learn more about her below and check out her blog.

my favorite reads are: anything by murakami, lolita, bon appetit and habitus for magazines
favorite place to travel to: ahh i don't travel nearly enough. i absolutely loved my one day in san francisco last june and my week in hawaii. san francisco was by far the prettiest US city i had ever laid eyes on. goal for this year is to travel more for food! new orleans is coming up in february and i cannot wait.
the best hotel i ever stayed at was: i'm gonna say i really enjoyed the bed & breakfast my boyfriend and i stayed at in portland, maine. early in the morning (so it forced us to get an early start to the day), this super friendly southern lady cooked for us. i'll never forget the lobster eggs benedict. what a way to start the morning!
my favorite food is: totally impossible to answer, but i'd probably say spicy comfort food like mapo tofu!
restaurant where i’m a regular: sometimes in ny it's hard to be a regular because we're always trying to get to the new places (and damn there are constantly new adds to the list to try); but i would probably say hearth and degustation.
