it's officially post-christmas, and i have a fun q+a for you today, with international blogger joana. originally from portugal, she recently moved to paradise, aka turks & caicos, and her blog, myseastory, chronicles her life on the island. and funny enough, i met her at bloghsop in nyc! j is super sweet and was nice enough to ask some of us to guest post on myseastory a few months ago (check out my post here!), so i'm excited to feature her on sunshine girl today. read below to learn more about this awesome lady!
and some more about joana below!
my favorite reads are: everything on india, i just finished reading 'a fine balance' by rohinton mistry. another favorite was 'the white tiger' by aravind ariga.
favorite place to travel to: home in lisbon to catch up with family and friends. new york for a break from island life. and far away for a real vacation, my last one was peru, i learned so much on their history and culture, plus the food was so good!
the best hotel i ever stayed at was: the mango bay was unforgettable, an eco resort on the island of phu quock, vietnam. very eco-friendly, no mini bar, no hairdryer, cows and chicken wandering around the resort. the staff was so friendly and the vietnamese food was the best - it was so hard to leave! another favorite is the four seasons hotel ritz in lisbon, there's no hotel with better service and they have the best brunch i have ever had.
my favorite food is: fish and shellfish. and once in a while, i crave cod fish like crazy! my comfort food is broccoli soup, i could have it every day.
restaurant where i’m a regular: for dinner, caicos cafe, in providenciales, i love their lobster pasta. for lunch, green bean, you can't beat their salads, but my favourite is the black bean burger.
{thanks j, for being a part of the series!}
