Welcome to my little space on the web, thanks again for dropping by. I believe in crediting artists and designers properly here, so if you ever see anything that isn't linked correctly or to the right party, please email me and I'd be happy to fix it. On that note, all uncredited layouts and photography are created by yours truly, so please link back if you choose to share. Happy reading!
what a week! it's been quite busy, with work events and dinner dates, and some other exciting things, too. i got to meet the lovely ladies of fathom on wednesday and became an even bigger fan of the site. also got to see the gorgeous test kitchen space at tasting table and got to spend a night at per se as well (working, not dining, but still, very cool!).
but, it's safe i'm very ready for this upcoming halloweekend, and have plans to dress up as a panda and a bird (separately). although it's been pointed out to me that a flying panda could work too. i'll have to consider it. what are your halloween plans? hope it's fun and full of candy!
pretty obsessed with this editorial. a beautiful beach, cute bikinis, a pretty girl and perfect, windswept hair. doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with the picture. this is taking me back to summer, and i think it means that i'm in need of a beach vacation. here's to hoping i get to see some sunshine and sand soon. or, at the very least, the weekend. one more day!
hooray, it's wednesday! that means it's time for another wishlist installment. this week, i'm lusting after some perfect holiday party pumps and a proenza schouler ipad case, some cool inkblot mugs and an inspiring poster. also, i discovered molly m's jewelry on my recent trip to california and instantly fell in love with her unique pieces at firefly in venice. i just had to share. hope you enjoy!
i'm in the middle of reading this book my friend, claire, lent me, called one day. it's about a boy and a girl (aren't most stories?) and the book takes them through their lives, offering glimpses into various days each year. of course, there's some romantic bent too. are they friends, more than friends, lovers...it's hard to tell, and the point is, i don't think they really know either.
overall, i love the way the story really pulls its readers into the lives of its characters--reminds me how much i love getting lost in a good book. anyway, the characters are about my age, and the emotions they feel are easy to relate to, which is a big part of why i like it. a snippet from the boy that struck me below...i think it's good advice.
how amazing are these recipe photos from tea with me? i love the deconstructed nature of them. especially because they all get put together to make something delicious and wonderful. the photos on heather's blog are pretty gorgeous too. make sure you take a look!
a short week, but a busy one! it seems like my day spent lounging in LA on monday was ages ago. these photos are nice to look at as a reminder though. it's been back on the grind for me this week, but not without some fun of course. i went to a fun concert last night and had a cozy ramen dinner on rainy wednesday with friends. still, i couldn't be more excited for the weekend. looking forward to relaxing with my boy, catching up on sleep and getting through some nip/tuck episodes. happy weekend all!
