last weekend was exciting and full of learning at blogshop! this weekend, i'm off to st. louis for a wedding. should be a fun, quick getaway. it's been a very busy week in between, so i'm definitely ready for a little travel and some sightseeing (and dancing!) until next week...

love this down-to-earth shoot of lara stone in her hometown, the netherlands. she looks so unfussy and natural, you can't help but love her toothy grin and windswept hair. shot by angelo pennetta for the latest fall issue of t: style, i'm loving the casual country vibe and autumnal fashion. it helps make the end of summer slightly more bearable.

i officially love egg press. ever since we got a few cards from them in our blogshop goodie bags, i have been swooning over the portland, oregon based studio and their letterpress designs. russian dolls to say thank you? yes please. a happy birthday bear? of course. each card is letterpressed by hand, making them unique and crafted with care. in fact, for their 10th anniversary, they created a very cool behind-the-scenes video that shows just how much work goes into each press. check it out here and take a look at some of my favorite designs from egg press below too:

stumbled across this shoot, and thought "these are spots done right"--the classic polka dot, in a sultry shoot, styled perfectly. don't you just loveee those tights? they would look so perfect with a black pencil skirt (or bodysuit if you're feeling risque, like the model below). better yet, throw the polka dots on the pencil skirt. i'm taking an inspiration note for fall.

easily one of my favorite restaurants in nyc, the meatball shop is now just a few blocks away from my new apt! lucky for me, but unlucky for my diet. regardless, the place really has everything going for it--perfected, delicious meatballs (the beef bolognese special meatball is to die for), amazing sides, homemade ice cream sandwiches for dessert, friendly staff and the prices are super reasonable too. i love the vibe here as well--dark with lots of wood, a long communal table, and soft lighting.

and note: it gets crowded late at night and they don't take reservations, but if you decide to wait, i think it's worth it. so, so worth it. get yourself on over there asap!

i wanted to introduce a new regular series i'll be having over here on sunshine girl, called "wishlist wednesday," happening on..you guessed it..wednesdays. just a round-up of all the stuff i've been seeing and coveting. also, a good way to practice and use moodboards. this first series was partly made during blogshop, but there will be many more to come. i hope you like it, and would love to hear your thoughts!

a fun, fashionable dynamic duo post for you today! it seems like leopard spots are all the rage this season, and with good reason. a touch of the print here and there go a long way in really making an outfit! right now, i really want a pair of leopard loafers and a scarf, so i'm on the lookout. i love how the ladies below styled their outfits around the print, making it really pop.

wow, i'm really blown away by these stunning images of rose byrne for the fall issue of muse. i've been watching plenty of damages (i recommend it!) and catching up on the show, so rose has been on my "girl crush" list lately, and these photos are just another reason why i love her.

hooray! i am officially a blogshop graduate, and have learned so, so much this past weekend, in addition to meeting some great fellow bloggers. more about that later! first item on my agenda with my photoshop skillset: a new header for my blog. and here you have it...i think the umbrella photo by elle moss goes well with my sunshine girl theme and i like the fun circles too. overall, there are definitely going to be some changes going on here, for the better i think. better layout design, technique experimentation, etc. etc. so please bear with me through the process. i really appreciate all of you who have been reading so far!
anyway, a lot to more share about my weekend experience throughout this week, but for right now, a quick preview of one of the fun skills i learned! and of course, hats off to bri and angela for an amazing class!
