i've got an awesome designer to introduce you to today: her name is connie and she runs the blog, daydream in color. connie is a portland-resident and spends her free time crafting, eating (a fellow foodie, i love it!) and exploring her city. i love the fun glimpses into connie's life that she features on her blog--she also often has freebies to give away, and she runs a cool etsy shop too, featuring cool crafts and supplies. learn more about this awesome lady below, and be sure to check out her blog and shop!

my favorite reads are: at the moment i'm reading the renaissance soul. i'm also reading lena corwin's printing by hand, amy sedaris' simple times, and i always love my saveur magazines. the last three are part of the reason why i'm reading the first one...
favorite place to travel to: i had so much fun when my college friends & i road tripped from germany through poland, czech republic, and austria to attend one of their weddings. i'm looking forward to seeing more of europe some day. my mom and i also took a long trip to china and that was awesome. the shopping was crazy! just thinking about it makes me want to go back.
the best hotel i ever stayed at was: propeller island city lodge in berlin, germany on the road trip. we stayed in an upside down room where all the furniture was on the ceiling. the floors opened up to reveal beds and seating though! in a close second is a b&b called arch cape inn on the oregon coast i stayed at for valentine's day one year that was like a french chateau. we woke up early to walk on a private path to the beach to watch the sky line glow with sunlight.
my favorite food is: this one changes a lot. i will never turn down anything that has honey, figs, or corn in it. corn pudding, figs stuffed with goat cheese, honey ice cream,...yum! i'm easily won over.
restaurant where i’m a regular: at the moment, it's nong's khao man gai. it's a food cart that just serves one thing. thai poached chicken and rice with a super yummy garlic ginger sauce all served up in a little butcher paper sack. it's so addicting!
thanks connie, for being a part of q+a with!
